Lizabeth Melchor-Vertiz

About Me

Lizbeth Melchor was born on March 17th, 2003 in Carbondale, Illinois with a mission, to carry on her mother’s family name. Since her mother was the last of in her family line with the name Vertiz she chose Lizbeth to carry on the name and pass it on to her own children someday. So her full name is Lizbeth Aida Melchor-Vertiz. She comes from a large family with four other brothers, one younger sister, two nieces, Olivia and Sofia. Lizbeth enjoys spending time with her family and friends who would be quick to tell you she is both funny and a little hard to get to know. Growing up Lizbeth played the clarinet and volleyball but today she focusses most of her time on her studies. Lizbeth was even recognized for High Honor Roll her first semester freshman and sophomore years.  One day she hopes make a difference in the world by supporting her favorite charity, The Thirst Project. The Thirst Project helps to provide water to communities around the world that need it. To date they have completed over 3,018 projects, served 413,427 people in 13 countries and raised over 10 Million Dollars toward their mission of ending the global water crisis.
