It's not every day our Jackson CEO students get to venture down into a limestone quarry! We recently joined Union County CEO Program for a visit to the Anna Quarry, where Will and Dave gave students a firsthand look at an industry with deep roots in Southern Illinois.

From the quarry's history dating back to 1855 to the millions of years of geological history beneath their feet, students learned about the scale of the operation, the importance of workplace safety, and the challenges of managing a quarry.

The visit also gave our students an opportunity to connect with fellow CEO students from Union County, making the experience even more valuable!

Thank you to Will, Dave, and the Anna Quarry team for the incredible tour and for taking the time to answer our students' questions. This was certainly a visit they won't soon forget!
