Jackson CEO had an incredible experience visiting WSIU Public Broadcasting at SIUC, an institution that has been serving the region for over 65 years. We were warmly welcomed by Larry Hunter, Interim Executive Director for WSIU Public Broadcasting, and Brian Flath, Director of Development for Student Affairs, who were phenomenal hosts and generous with their time and insight.

It was really cool to go behind the scenes of broadcasting—seeing how stories are created and developed, understanding the funding it takes to keep quality programming on the air, and learning how a small but efficient team makes such a big impact. Experiences like this help our students see what’s possible and how innovation, teamwork, and purpose come together in real-world careers.

Grateful for the opportunity and the knowledge shared!
