Today, our Jackson CEO students had an incredible opportunity to visit Samron Midwest Contracting in Murphysboro, IL—a company that truly exemplifies excellence in the construction industry.
Founded in 2003, Samron Midwest Contracting has completed thousands of projects and poured over 2 million cubic yards of concrete. Their team includes some of the area’s top tradesmen, with a commitment to finishing every yard of concrete at the highest level of quality and workmanship.
In 2010, Samron expanded its services to include General Contracting and Construction Management. Since then, they have built and renovated hundreds of projects, including hospitals, schools, churches, medical and dental offices, car washes, manufacturing facilities, retail and restaurant spaces, office buildings, warehouses, municipal buildings, financial institutions, multi-unit housing, parks, athletic fields, and water treatment facilities. Their reputation for timeliness, fairness, quality, and dependability speaks for itself.
A huge thank you to Dave and Steve for sharing the history of Samron, providing an amazing tour of the facility, and for the thoughtful hospitality—Samron gear, pens, and donuts included! 🍩👏
Experiences like this give our students real-world insight into leadership, craftsmanship, and what it takes to build a business that lasts.
