Today, CEO Young Professionals had the honor of hosting Candace Akintola, a certified doula with The Little Resource Center in Carbondale!
Candace shared powerful insights on the different types of doulas and certifications—highlighting the many ways they support families through every stage of life:
👶 Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
💔 Miscarriage and fertility journeys
🌱 Full-spectrum care
🕊️ Death and end-of-life transitions
She also helped us understand the distinctions between:
Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) – trained nurses who can deliver in hospitals, birthing centers, or homes.
Certified Professional Midwives (CPM) – skilled providers who specialize in home and birthing center deliveries.
We’re grateful for her time, wisdom, and passion in showing us how doulas walk alongside families in some of life’s most important moments.
On top of that, they were thrilled to receive their official name badges today 🎉 — designed beautifully by Meadow 👏🏽. Big thanks for making our team look sharp and professional! #JacksonCEO
