From Saturday mornings helping his godfather place flowers in cars and prepare vehicles for services, to now owning his own funeral home—Mr. Diamante Jackson’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.
Today, our team had the privilege of visiting Southern Cremation and Burial Services, the first and only African American-owned funeral home in Murphysboro, IL. Mr. Jackson, licensed funeral director and chief embalmer, gave us a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to serve families with excellence— from picking up loved ones with care, to arranging services, to managing the business side of it all.
We are grateful for your transparency, hospitality, and wisdom. Thank you, Mr. Jackson, for investing your time with us today!
